Prayer rose up from his bed of 6 inch bedding that filled his stall and shook and nickered a good morning to the other horses in the barn. Prayer looked out the top dutch door to the outside, It was foggy, though the fog was rising he could barley make out the outline of the horses in pastures. He pricked his ears at a few sounds coming from the outside, and watched as the sun arose.

Mistic flicked her creamy forelock as she watched Prayer watch the sun. He was so handsome... she wished she could be like that, but no, she had to be taffy, the colour of mud... the only thing she liked about herself was her creamy, champange mane, which was layered and had white streaks through it.
She trotted over the the gate and whickered to Prayer.

Prayers flicked his tail at a fly, Prayers looked out the dutch door at the mare in the pasture and pricked his ears up at the whicker and nickered a hello back. The sunlight beamed onto his neck and made the gray coat shimmer, His fine mane fell along his neck, but it was a tad messy.

A human came and caught Mistic. She tied her to a piece of twine on a ring on the wall and groomed her then tacked her up. Leading her into the arena you could see from the stables, she check her girth then mounted. Mistic tried to do the best she could in front of Prayer. She collected and kept her head on the bit, trying to do everything her rider was asking of her.
A crowd of admirers was waching.
'Isn't that the horse that the girl rescued? Isn't that horse meant to be psycho?'

Prayer looked at Mystic in the arena but turned around as he heard Heidi's car pull to a stop in front of the barn. Prayers looked though the stable door as he waited for his owner.

Mistic was bored. This took too much effort... plus Prayers couldn't see her anymore. She threw in a pig root and as her rider asked her to canter she stopped suddenly adn her rider almost fell off. Asking her to walk on again slowly, she relaxed.
It was then that Mistic realised that she did all this bad behaviour on purpose- there was no need for it. She trotted forward then went into a steady, balanced canter around the arena. Mistic slowed down to a walk and her rider dismounted, happy.
Mistic was led out of the arena and towards her stable, where she was untacked and washed down. She spotted Heidi, Prayer's owner.

Heidi gave Prayer his feed and waited for him to eat, then waiting another 30 minutes before she grabbed Prayers halter and led him into the cross ties, Grabbing a brush and brushing him down. Heidi went to the tack room to get Prayer's tack. Prayer waited impatiently and pawed at the ground, but stop and pricked his ears at the human and Mistic, and nickered a hello. Heidi returned with Prayers tack and began tacking him up again, She glanced at Mistic and Mistic's owner, but when back to tacking Prayer up.

Heidi looked like anice person to Mistic, but she wasn't sure of what Prayer thought of her. Her owner was a nice person... but she often got frustrated with her so had bucked her off several times. But after all that, she had rescued her from the pet food company, after all.... maybe she should behave from now on.

It looked like Prayer was going to be ridden. She hoped she would stay there long enough to watch him.

Heidi walked back to Prayer and got him to do some more tricks, "Bow." Heidi said as she watched Prayer stretch on of his front legs out and put his muzzle to it, Heidi smiled and gave him a treat. "Nice to meet you." Heidi said and watched as Prayer gave out one of his legs and Heidi took it, And Prayer shook it up and down, like a hand shake. Heidi loved her horses, and if she wasnt riding them she was messing around with them. Heidi climbed on to Prayer and trotted out to the arena and started out a walk, then to a passage trot, and then started cantering over 2ft jumps and then onto 3nd half.

Mistic was amazed. She wished she could do all that... she probably could, but didnt want to show that she could infront of her owner. She decided that she would change. Mikaela, her owner, came out and put her in the paddock, then gave her a treat. She thanked her by giving her liquid eyes and following her back to the gate. Normaly she bolted off before humans could touch her again. mistic watched Prayer's passage. She tried it herself... it wasnt at all that hard to her, but she didn't know if she could manage it with a rider in her back. She tried to bow... she wasnt flexible enough. She would practice more on her own.

Heidi put away Prayers tack after untacking him, and turned him out, He got a drink and started galloping around the field, happy to be out of the stable. After running around for a bit he stopped and started to graze.

Mistuc went over to talk to prayers.
'how did you do all that?'

Lilly flew over the last jump, finishing the course perfectly. She slowed to a trot and then a walk back to the exit of the arena. Horses and people were everywhere, mounting and dismounting.
Later that day Lilly won 3 champion sashes and first ribbon, she was loaded onto the float and she ate as theu drove home.

Mistic was watching Lilly. She felt so stupid, like she couldnt do anything. She had never tried jumping before.

Lilly was unloaded from the truck and tied outside her stable. The ribbons were taken off her neck but her mane was still in plaited and rolled up into bun and her tail like a white flame flowing gently down to her hocks. She was lead to the paddock next to where Prayers and Mistic was, with her neck arched she trotted over to the water.

Mistic trotted over to Lilly.
'Sounds like you went well? You must be able to jump good,' she said.

Lilly flicked her tail.
"I enjoy it" She said.
